John Donne - The Good Morrow

I listened to this, read it again, and looked up some of the words. It's not an easy poem to understand, but once you read what John Donne is talking about, it's quite a romantic poem. I do so enjoy listening to the anonymous person reading this poem.

Found a great website with various classic poems read aloud. There is something about hearing them read that adds the passion, the love, or in the case of Anthem for Doomed Youth, the solemn sad reality of war and the loss of youth.

This is so well read, it gives me chills. I feel alone near the dark beach. I can almost feel the ocean breeze.

This is a cute little video animation accompanied by Susan Sarandon reading Robert Frost's Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening. Be sure you watch all the way to the end. One of the little girls says poetry is a pretty way of saying something. She's absolutely right.
